Wound Vac closed

He had his wound closed on Friday, and all went well. They did have to leave a portion about the size of a 50 cent piece open where the 2 incisions meet and he does have a wound vac in that section. They plan on changing it in his room on Monday, without sedation, and will see where things are at at that time. Nathan is going through a form of drug withdrawal, since he has had to be on such heavy doses of narcotics. He isn't feeling great at the moment, but we hope that the Drs. will be able to help him counter these feelings with something to help ease him back to "regular" health. He is still on narcotics, but not as much as he has been. He is fighting to get better, trying to get 4 walks in every day, and making a grand effort to try and eat. Food doesn't look or taste all that great but he knows if he wants to come home without the feeding tube he has to eat. We are still hoping for sometime this coming week, and pray that he will be able to come home.
